[TRANS] 150122 Kim Jaejoong’s Popularity In ‘Spy’ Has Spread To Japan

Kim Jaejoong’s popularity in Japan has translated into an explosive response for the KBS2 Friday drama ‘Spy’.

On the 22nd, C-JeS Entertainment said, “Kim Jaejoong held his ‘KIM JAEJOONG J-PARTY IN YOKOHAMA’ event at the Yokohama Arena on the 21st. The event consisted of a fanmeet and concert, and local representatives were surprised to see such an explosive response from fans for Kim Jaejoong’s Korean drama ‘Spy’.”

On this day, Kim Jaejoong gave a short introduction for ‘Spy’ and said, “The character acts differently when he’s with his family and when he’s at work. Although it was difficult to express that difference, it actually became a driving force for me and helped me enjoy my role a lot more.”

He also took time to show pictures from behind the scenes of his drama, and drew the admiration of his fans when he got to a picture of his famous ‘shower scene abs’ and said, “I can freely grow and shrink my muscles to my liking.”

In ‘Spy’, Kim Jaejoong plays the role of Seonwoo, a genius data analyst working in the National Intelligence Service. His ability to switch from a charismatic man to a sweet guy has heightened the quality of the drama.

A local representative stated, “From what I know, only four episodes have aired in Korea. Despite that, many of the fans who came to the event already knew the storyline of ‘Spy’, and had a deep affection for Kim Jaejoong’s character Seonwoo. We were really surprised to see this, and this only proves just how popular Kim Jaejoong is in Japan.”
