[TRANS] 140809 JYJ’s Kim Junsu Makes An Honest Confession, “Even If Our Song Hadn’t Been Banned, We Still Couldn’t Appear On TV…”

JYJ recently opened up about their lack of broadcasted appearances.

JYJ’s ‘2014 JYJ Asia Tour THE RETURN OF THE KING’ concert was held at 8pm on the 9th at Seoul’s Jamshil Stadium. Standing on stage at the Jamshil Stadium for the first time in three years since November of 2011, JYJ filled their setlist with a variety of songs, including solo performances and ‘BACK SEAT’, the title song of their most recent album ‘JUST US’.

Ahead of their last song, the members opened up about making their first comeback in three years, as well as their affection for their fans. Kim Jaejoong said, “This is the first time in a while that we’ve made a comeback with a full-length album, and we looked so young and lively in the teaser that I thought, ‘We look like rookies, don’t we?’ It was so refreshing for us, but we’ve been banned from performing our song on TV.” Park Yoochun jokingly added, “I think it’s because Junsu looks too sexy when he dances.”

Kim Junsu said, “Our song has been banned, but even if it hadn’t been, we still wouldn’t have been able to make a broadcasted appearance. But it’s okay. It’s nothing special. Although we can only see you in situations like this, let’s think of it in a positive light.” JYJ’s latest title track ‘BACK SEAT’ was banned by KBS for being too suggestive.

Meanwhile, JYJ successfully held the Seoul leg of their 2014 Asia tour ‘THE RETURN OF THE KING’ at the Jamshil Stadium on the 9th. They plan to visit eight cities to hold further performances for their tour.
