[TRANS] 131213 Rain And TVXQ To Battle It Out In The Beginning Of 2014 With Full-length Albums


TVXQ (U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin) and Rain (Jung Ji Hoon) will set the stage for 2014’s first K-pop big match.

Both Rain and TVXQ are set to make comebacks early January.

TVXQ will be releasing their seventh full-length album early next January to commemorate their 10th anniversary (December 26th). The album will feature ten tracks and will be their first comeback since the release of their sixth album in September of 2012. A representative stated, “TVXQ will be the first SM artiste to make a comeback in 2014. Though the exact dates haven’t been confirmed yet, the album is set to drop early next year,” and “The album’s been worked on for quite some time now. They are currently putting the finishing touches on their album.” The album has brought together the best of SM Entertainment’s composers. A total of 20 songs have been recorded, meaning that more than one album may be released. TVXQ were the first non-Japanese artistes to hold a concert at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, attracting a total of 144,000 fans to the two-day event.

A representative of the K-pop industry stated, “Rain and TVXQ’s album war in January will be followed by a string of comebacks from Girls’ Generation, A Pink, Girls’ Day and Dal Shabet,” and “Making a comeback in January is a strategic move as it gives singers more time to sell a higher number of albums.”

[TRANS] 131213 SM Open A Hologram Exhibition In Japan, TVXQ Call It “A New Opportunity”


SM Entertainment has teamed up with Universal Studios Japan to create the first hologram exhibition in Japan.

The opening ceremony of SM Town’s hologram exhibition was held on the 12th, and was attended by the Japanese press, representatives of the industry and 100 fans who were given special invitations.

TVXQ, who are one of the most popular groups in Japan, made a surprise visit at the venue to look around the exhibition and watch the hologram concerts. TVXQ stated, “We think of this as a new opportunity for people to get a little closer to artistes. We hope that many people come for the experience.”

As the first of its kind in Japan, the hologram exhibition will be held at Universal Studios Japan from the 13th of December till the 16th of February next year, and will feature hologram performances of TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee and EXO, as well as an exhibition of the celebrities’ various outfits and props.

The latest in hologram and projection mapping technology will be used to create a high-quality hologram performance of TVXQ’s ‘Keep Your Head Down’, Super Junior’s ‘Sorry Sorry’, Girls’ Generation’s ‘I Got A Boy’, SHINee’s ‘Lucifer’ and EXO’s ‘Wolf’, The exhibition is set to draw the attention of many fans for being very realistic, almost like the stars were performing right in front of the fans.
