TVXQ and G-Dragon have ranked second place on Oricon’s single and album charts.
According to Oricon, Japan’s biggest album ranking site, TVXQ’s ‘Very Merry Xmas’, which was released on the 27th of November, and G-Dragon’s ‘Coup D’etat’ each ranked second on the single and album charts respectively.
TVXQ’s ‘Very Merry Xmas’ sold 77,831 copies on its first day while G-Dragon’s album sold 34,597 copies, proving just how popular both acts are in Japan.
Girl group KARA released their new single ‘French Kiss’ and album ‘Best Girls’ on the same day, with both ranking fourth on the daily single and album charts respectively.
Meanwhile, TVXQ will be kicking of their nationwide Japanese tour next April and will be performing at the Tokyo Dome for the third consecutive year.
G-Dragon is currently participating in Big Bang’s Six Dome Tour ‘Big Bang Japan Dome Tour 2013-2014’.
