To celebrate TVXQ’s 10th anniversary in December, their fans are planning to create a ‘TVXQ Forest’ in Yeoido.
According to Tree Planet, the company in charge of the event, TVXQ’s fans are planning to plant trees with red leaves, such as red apricot blossom trees, in the Yeoido region in honor of the color that signifies TVXQ and their fandom.
Fans created a homepage for the event on the 6th and plan to collect five million Won for the event.
The forest will be planted in November, and a QR code will be set up in the entrance that will include a list of fans who participated in the event.
Fans of nine other teams have participated in ‘forest projects’ and the recipients include 2NE1, Shinhwa, Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany and INFINITE.
Currently, the project has collected 5.8 million Won, an amount that surpasses its original goal.
The size of the forest will be decided after all donations are collected.
A representative of SM Entertainment stated, “We’re grateful to the fans for creating such meaningful events every year to celebrate TVXQ’s anniversary.”
