JYJ’s Park Yoochun is enjoying a high level of popularity as an actor in Japan.
Park Yoochun’s ‘Rooftop Prince’ has topped the ‘DVD Sales for the First Half of 2013’ (December 1st ~ May 31st) list of the popular internet shopping mall Amazon Japan. The drama has been airing in Japan since the 3rd of June on TBS, which is expected to raise the popularity of the drama.
The homepage of TBS pinpointed Park Yoochun’s transformation into an actor as something to look out for in the drama and stated, “This is his greatest character study, with a variety of expressions that befit the historical period and his ability to wear both traditional Hanbok attire and modern clothes.”
Following ‘Rooftop Prince’, his fourth drama ‘I Miss You’ will also begin airing in Japan on the 17th on DATV, a Hallyu-centric cable channel, and shows that the interest in Park Yoochun as both a member of JYJ and an actor is increasing.
