JYJ will be holding another membership week.
C-JeS Entertainment revealed on the 16th that, “For four days from the 27th till the 30th of June, we will be holding the ‘2013 JYJ Membership Week’ at SETEC at Hakyeowool Station. The Membership Week is a large-scale, fan-service event held by C-JeSe Entertainment for all JYJ fanclub members and 22,000 fans visited the event last year.”
The ‘JYJ Membership Week’ event began last year and has been given positive reviews for being a new and sincere method of communication and fan-service that has carved a new path for Hallyu culture contents.
It is a not-for-profit event that is open to members for free so that Japanese fans can participate in the event for the lowest cost possible.
CEO Baek Chang Joo of C-JeS Entertainment stated, “I can proudly say that this event is a large-scale fan service event that only we can hold. Admission is free for all the fanmeets, galleries and JYJ contents screenings and there are no MD goods for sale. Though we were given sponsorship offers from companies and public institutions because of the explosive response we received last year, we turned them all down. We want the event to be held for the sole purpose of creating memories for JYJ and their fans to share, and of giving JYJ the opportunity to express their love and gratitude for their fans.”
A representative who is planning the event stated, “The total cost of holding the Membership Week event last year was 3.7 billion Won. We have set a higher budget for this year to create the best possible space at SETEC, hold two fanmeets and concerts, and support the Japanese fans who are coming to Korea for the event.”
JYJ have had a busy year since last Summer, participating in dramas, movies, solo albums and tours. They recently held three concerts at Tokyo Dome that attracted 150,000 fans. With many wondering what new stories JYJ will bring to the event, C-JeS Entertainment will soon be notifying fans of how to participate.
